AFRICA, MY AFRICA-THE LITTLE WE CAN DO,WE MUST DO, Keynote Address by Ali A. Mufuruki
April 24th, 2014
Let me start with a confession that until late last year when I was asked by my good friend the District Governor Emmanuel Katongole to speak at this event, I didn’t know anything about the Rotary Club. Granted I have friends both at home and around the world who are Rotarians but I never took much interest in understanding what they do and why they do it. My assumption was that it was nothing more than a club of rich people who are driven to charity by a sense of guilt of their material wealth in a world where so many had too little or nothing.
